Helping Students Leverage Transfer Pathways to College
College Transfer Support Network is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides community college transfer support services to students at no cost. We offer resources and information about the transfer process, financial aid, and scholarships. Our goal is to help as many students as possible make a successful transition from community college to public and private 4-year universities, with special focus on transfer pathways to California public universities.
Timelines to transfer to a 4-year institution can vary from 1 year to 10 or more, depending on circumstances. We support all timelines, and also offer specialized guidance for high schoolers interested in accelerating the transfer path to a UC or CSU campus by beginning the process during high school.
Our services are free of charge and offer an opportunity for students from all backgrounds to access higher education.
Our Mission
To increase access to higher education through transfer pathways by offering free and low-cost support to high school and community college students. We help students prepare for and navigate the transfer admissions process to a 4-year institution, assisting with an education plan, course selection, admissions requirements, financial aid, scholarships, articulation agreements, transfer credit evaluations, essays, and college applications.
Our Services
Course Planning
We advise students on personalized transfer plan and help plan coursework semester by semester. We share information about mentorship programs, Honors programs, and partnerships between community colleges and 4-year schools that can increase the chance of admissions. For those interested, we also provide guidance on how to accelerate the UC/CSU transfer process.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
We review transcripts and assess college credit, transferable coursework, and identify progress toward completion of requirements. We assist in the use of resources like assist.org and the understanding of IGETC requirements, articulation agreements, financial aid, and more.
Essays & Application Review
We help students brainstorm essay topics, polish drafts, and review all components of applications with applications are as strong as possible.
